Health functional activities of polysaccharides:  

1. Anti-tumor.  For example, lentinus edodes polysaccharide obtained from lentinus edodes has strong antitumor activity.  

2. Enhance immune function.  Different polysaccharides have different immune promoting effects.  Lentinan is an ideal immune stimulant.  Tremella polysaccharide can promote the transformation of lymphocytes, enhance the phagocytic function of mouse peritoneal macrophages, significantly promote the synthesis of liver protein and nucleic acid, promote bone marrow hematopoietic function, and improve humoral immunity.  Auricularia auricularia polysaccharide can effectively improve the phagocytic index and percentage of mouse macrophages.  For example, polysaccharides extracted from garlic and radish have different enhancement effects on T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and macrophages, which can enhance the body's cellular immune function.
